Crane Skip Pan Rental at 2.6 yards
Our Crane Skip Pan Rentals at 2.6 Yards include an automated latch that enables crane operators to dump out the contents without assistance. There is no rigging to maintain during the rental period. They are also available for sale at CraneGear.net over here.
The Skip Pans used in Construction on job sites has many names. You might hear it as Boat Skip. Muck Skip. Waste Pan. Or Crane Trash Bin. All I know is that I’m in love with the action. Check out this blog with a longer video of the action. The arm (bale arm) lowers all of the way when you drop it down. the lock rotates so that it lifts the bin when you first try to come up. This would allow you to dump it out. If you didn’t want to dump it because maybe it’s holding construction materials, you can lower the arm again and the lock will rotate. When you try to come up again, the lock will clear and the bale arm will stop when it lifts the bin horizontally and keeps any contents inside. It’s by far the easiest trash skip available today.

Large Sizes
These come in large sizes up to 10.4 yards. If you are moving soils, trash, or materials. Export soils or other heavy materials and dump them out of the sloped end.. Import rock or sand material with this heavy duty skip pan that will meet your specific needs. These bins can get the job done with just the crane operator unloading the pan automatically. No latches to work. No rigging to change. Just hoist down and the pan locks and unlocks automatically. But if you need capacities ranging from ¼ yard to 10, we have an option. The 2.6 yard versions are the right size for most construction job sites. But if you want to go large, our 5.2 yard capacities will still fit in roll off dumpster and give you that massive weight capacity. If you need these crane trash skips as a 4 × 4, or a 4 × 8, or a 4 × 10, we can get you the sizing you need. On thing to watch for is the height of the steel sides versus the front loading lip. The front lip is lower and often great for loading by wheel barrow. Let the disposing and collecting begin with these containers.
Safety Built In
Our Crane Skip Pan containers are built beyond the stringent ASME B30.20 certified. We load test to 300% in Germany. We don’t load test to 125% and leave the rest to a calculation. Safety can’t be just a calculation we prove it. And we do so with a third part overseeing the engineering and the testing. TUV of Austria is that party. So when you are lifting overhead, do you want to know that you have 25% extra as your safety margin, or do you want 175% to be the known safety margin? If you want the great degree of safety, Eichinger and Crane Gear are your option. The 3/16 steel plate construction will last decades.
Our skip pans aren’t just safe by construction. They also are easy loading by being a low height on the front lip. They are also easy loading because the bale arm lays down and out of the way. The dump box bale arm laying down also makes it inert and not a danger. It’s also at a low height for the applications of the crane hooks. Finally the skip pan keeps the workers out of dumpsters during the unloading process where injuries could typically happen.
Operational Advantage
Most Crane Skip boxes have rigging that is in the way, or has to be organized. We have a structural bale arm that lays down out of the way. You won’t have to deal with rigging while loading. You won’t have rigging that might hang up as you start the lift process. And you won’t have rigging to reconfigure in the roll off dumpster in trash operations. When I was a tower crane operator the most dangerous common operation was watching people get into dumpsters. If anything shifts, they could be in trouble. They are often walking up on the edge at 8’ in the air with concrete or falling into sharp objects being their options. We eliminate that with our automated latch that functions just by having the crane operator hoisting down. No one needs to ever get in the dumpsters again. The flat bottoms make these great for working on roofs too. This does eliminate the forklift pockets some like to have. If forklift pockets would be more useful for you than having a flat bottom to keep roofing safe, let us know and we can probably work out an option. Contact us and we’ll look at your specific needs.
Safety in Design of Crane Skip Pan
When you look at other crane skip pans or boat skips designed like ours, you’ll see that they have safety latches for the bale arm because it’s left vertical. This is indeed a safety hazard in need of protecting. Bale arms can be several hundred pounds. If they are knocked over in the loading process and someone is standing on the far end, it could be a deadly situation. So we designed our bale arms to lay flat and be deenergized. Our bale arms are safe and unable to move where they might harm someone. These will hold heavy materials. 3300 lbs per yard is the volume rating. We don’t have fork pockets on ours. The flat bottom is great for roofing operations.
The Rental Deal
What we do is offer the bins at a discounted monthly rate with a 3 month minimum rental. We collect the three months up front with the shipping included in the rental. The subsequent months are billed every 28 days. When you know what the termination of the rental looks like, we can stop the billing accordingly and schedule the pick up. If the payment fails to process, we give 28 days to catch up the payment, or we pick up the bin. This way we are not at risk of non-payment, and the clients can utilize equipment more affordably. For a 2.6 yard bin the initial payment is $3750 which pays for three months rental and shipping. The subsequent months are charged at $767.66 for each 28 day rental period.

The Rental Offer
Renting Crane Pallet Forks should be affordable. What we do is start out the first three months at a higher rate to cover the shipping costs. So a 4400 lb set of forks will cost $1950 for the first three months. After this, the price starts to decrease month after month until the sixth month where it levels off at $399.18 per month. We have a three month minimum rental period. This will cover the ship to and from. The rate for months after the initial introductory fee is $399.18 for a 28 day rental month.
The rental will include a first three months charge up front. Each 28 days we will manually charge the credit card on file for the next month. If you know the rental period is going to end, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible so we can stop charging in advance. If payment is ever denied, you’ll have 28 days to rectify the matter before we collect the equipment. The premise is we avoid the risk of non-payment. As a result, we can deliver equipment at a lower cost.
The agreement will need to be agreed to in order to schedule the rental. The equipment becomes your property in exchange for payment. All equipment responsibilities will transfer to the possessors and users.
Crane Materials Baskets
Our Crane Materials Baskets are designed to lift 4’x4’ pallets safely on a four point lift that is above the center of gravity for stability. If you have to lift pallets with loose parts, or parts only secured by shrink wrap, this is what you should be using. These rated baskets meet OSHA 1926.251. They also pull double duty as forklift bins with the built in forklift pockets. We can set them up with a drop down gate that acts like a ramp for pallet jacks, or with a swinging gate. Don’t let your crews unsafely fly any loose items again. Stuff those pallets in these bins and you’ll engineer out the hazard in the field. If you need one of these in your fleet instead of a rental, you can find it over here at CraneGear.net Under Crane Pallet Bin.
High Quality Materials
ASME B30.20 requires that our materials baskets are constructed with high quality materials like A36 Steel. Even our mesh is rigid in the design. The powder coat is thick and durable as well and these are just the standard features. If you want to galvanize this for hard environments, we offer that as well. We bring the right materials together to ensure we surpass the OSHA regulations.
Crane Basket for Safety
Our Lifting baskets help you lift items on the job site with in a safe and legal manner. With our Materials baskets being rated at 3300 lbs as a single basket, you’ll know that you can put the load in the bin and be safe. The quality of the design. When you make these lifts with plastic of wood bins, you have no reassurance that the bin/box will withstand the loading. Our engineered and manufactured bins with an ASME rating are not only rated, but they are tested to 300% in the design phase. Even if you are looking at another manufactured materials basket, ask them what they proof test their bins to. They’ll cite 125% as ASME requires. In Germany, we test to 300% and it shows in the quality of our cages. There are no short cuts in our fabrication.
Materials Basket with a Ramp
Our Crane Material Baskets come with a gate as the default option. We offer a gate if you want to deliver items into the Materials Bin with a pallet jack, or on a cart. If you option our double basket with a ramp, you can often land it on the building. If you put the items on a cart system, you can pull everything out and into the building. There are fancy systems made by others to do this at high costs. Our double bin accomplishes the same objective with carts. If loading the building is one of your specific needs, contact me at sales@cranegear.net and we can talk through this. But trust me, the unloading is a breeze with a cart system.
Material Handling Options with Eichinger
We have a number of Lifting baskets at Eichinger. From Personnel Baskets to four post pallets, if you need a box or bins for material lifting, Eichinger and Crane Gear can help. We can even lift heavy loads in bins up the 6600 lbs.
